Backdated to May 19th and 20th.....Dinner & Surgery
Well, Thursday Greg and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary with dinner on Donald. The Chef wore his authentic outfit and brought over tons of goodies to make us a delicious Japanese steakhouse style meal. Sooooooo good. I wanted to cry because it was such a nice thing for him to do and it was just so perfect!
He cut up steak, chicken, zucchini and onions, flavored them with sauces and oils and sauteed them on an open grill right in front of us. It looked so perfect and tasted perfect too! He even had a caesar salad ready for us when we sat down at the table. Then, he surprised us with a strawberry shortcake!!! Yummmmmy! The best part about everything was that he chose fat free or light everything. It was all healthy.
Greg and I passed out after that. He had to get ready for surgery the next day.....
Friday, May 20th.
Cindy, Wayne and I drove Greg to Virginia for his lasik eye surgery. They had to put him in a room where everyone could see the operation which I didn't like; but it didn't take long at all (the waiting was the worst part). They put callogen plugs in his eyes which made him tear up like crazy for the rest of the day. On the way home they started to hurt really really bad. His entire face was so red and he was in so much pain that he was screaming and throwing things around the room. I remembered that he had eye drops to take and as soon as he took all three of those, he calmed down and was able to sleep. He also had percocet which really helped. Poor guy, he was just so bad off and the best thing for him to do was sleep. I liked that part cause I slept right next to him the entire time ; ).
Saturday consisted of more laying around and some yardwork. But I made sure he took his meds on time so they wouldn't hurt him. ...... now onto Sunday which deserves its own post!
