Dress fits snug..too snug
I'm back, its Monday morning and I'm awake but tired (if you know what I mean). This weekand was very very fulfilling. I drove up to Laurel to see Mom. Just about 10 minutes into being there, the seamstress showed up. She was cute! Very talkative and acted as if she'd know mom forever when she only just met her. I threw on my undergarments and felt naked but the lady had to measure me. Then I put my absolutely gorgeous dress on with my very cute heals and walked out to the living room. Between the three of us, we decided that I needed the dress taken out a bit in the waist, tightened in the bust, and, of course, trimmed at the bottom so I don't trip (that has been my worst fear since I was younger, that I would trip down the isle on my wedding day - most likely fall into the officiant, knocking the arch over). The seamstress also brought fabric to match up to the dress to make me a bollero for my arms. It's going to look soooo cute!
We went shoe shopping for mom after that...or did we eat first? I think we ate first. We searched all over Broadway shoes for a good match to the color in her dress. No luck. While mom tried some shoes on that were potentials, I looked at the dressy shoes and grabbed some clear ones with 4 inch heals. Mom tried them on and I swear she looked younger in a second. They were soooo cute! They are so sexy on her! She walked around with a confident strut in them to make sure they were compfy. I told her they looked fabulous in her jeans. Wow, mom in cute heals. I don't think she's worn heals like that since we were much younger (or at least I haven't seen it).
She had also given me two pictures she found from December of 1997. She told me to put those on my fridge for inspiration. I was so skinny in those. I told her even when I was skinny I still had this strange roll in my belly which made it so I couldn't wear tight shirts. You won't believe what she said after that........she told me if I got down to at least 150 that she would pay for me to have lypo to get rid of that roll. I'm not sure I would get lypo but that was so sweet of her to say. She said that is how much she wants me to lose this weight for my health and happiness. Mom is wonderful! I had a great time with her.
HOUSE STUFF:
Late Saturday and all day Sunday we dedicated to yardwork. Our weed wacker kept breaking so we went and bought a gass one. I tried to use it and it shook me so much that my hands were numb. I felt like it was taking me away and I couldn't fight it. So, needless to say, Greg weed wacked while I scooped up dead grass. Speaking of dead grass, I sprayed stuff on our patio to kill the grass that seems to overtake each brick as if it were just so hungry that it could swallow the bricks whole. We washed all three cars too. I somehow missed this huge bird crap spot on the side of my car though...I must have been tired.
Emmi layed out under the sun with us while we did yardwork. I kept looking at her because she would stick her nose up in the air, enjoying the smell of the breeze. I even did the same thing, not to mock her, but because it smelt so good!
Our yard is looking so nice and some seeds we planted are just now starting to sprout.
Back to the weight loss issue. Today, I start eating low carbs. I will continue with this until I do get to 140-150 then add some good food back in while exercising. Its very hard to do situps when your belly stops you from lifting your body off the ground. So I will focus on various cardio until I'm not carrying so much around.
Thats my goal and I'm sticking to it.
Amen
