Festive Days
Wow, what a fun filled, busy and exciting week!
We visited and had a wonderful time with Mom last Thursday exchanging gifts, showing her our home, and going out to a steak dinner at Outback. I could tell she enjoyed it and I loved showing her our new coffee table which she helped us buy for christmas.
Saturday consisted of a fun filled night with the fam and Holly and John. We started off with the best sparkling wine I've ever tasted and ended it with a great two games of bowling in Frederick. I had a blast with everyone and really enjoyed everyone's company. We exchanged gifts with Holly and John and I could just see the smiles and joy on everyone's face!
Sunday was a day with the Mother-in-Law which was a lot of fun! We started our time off with a bottle of White Zinfandel, playing Greg's new arcarde game then exchanged gifts and went out to a Japanese Hibachi dinner. We drove to Damascus where we saw a house that went crazy with lights and even had 60" TV screen that displayed christmas pictures.
Monday was Christmas which was a nice quiet (and rainy) day at home where Greg and I exchanged gifts and played with our toys while we watched the puppys open gifts (yes Emmi can open them with her teeth but then she gets bored after the first few tears).
Tuesday, Dad came in to town. I had a great time with him. We met up with the bros exchanged gifts, went out to dinner and had some more shopping fun on Wed. We saw some more fam and had a great dinner with him before sending him on his way today.
Today its back to work with the thought of desperately wanting to lose weight on my mind.
Needless to say I ate terrible but I came back to work with an email from the Department for a Presidential Health challenge to Federal employees. I'm so there! I already signed up. The challege is for different levels of individuals (mine being complete beginner) where they want me to exercise 30 mintes a day 5 days a week and for 5 full weeks out of the next 8 weeks.
I can do this! Awards will be sent out to those that do well!
