Keeping it up!

Yay for me :)

I worked out last night and it felt great. I am very fortunate to have a great husband and friend already into working out so they helped push me to get there.

I did the elliptical for a half an hour then a few arm weights. I worked out for about a total of 40 mins. The good thing about the elliptical is that it burns about 400-500 cals in a half an hour because you're using your arms and legs.

So, I work my 2nd job today but will be back at the gym tomorrow with Mike and have decided to actually join Fitness first again by March.

Its all exciting. I think the push that helped this time was the fact that mom found my old prom dress I never wore. She's having it cleaned so I can someday get back into it and have it as a goal. Its all black with white lace on the top. Its very exciting to have that goal. :)

The little things that make you smile

I just wanted to take a minute to reflect on the little things that make me laugh and smile. Aside from the happiness of having loved ones around there are little everyday things like specific songs or a greeting card that just make you smile or even laugh.

I picked up a greeting card for Grandma and the minute I saw it I thought of Dan. So, obviously, I had to get it for him too. It makes me think of us being kids again and enjoying the simple sugars in life that is candy! Oh how I remember Dan loving his candy. Dan, here's to you and making you laugh! It's coming to ya soon! :) Love ya! Greg can tell you, everytime I opened the card I cracked up.

On that note, there are a few songs I just love to hear and they make me smile when I hear them:

Beautiful Day - U2
Calling You - Blue October
Friday I'm in Love - The Cure
Just like Heaven - The Cure
Brown eyed Girl - Van Morrison

I know there's more but thats all I got in my head right now. Do some homework and make sure to listen to a few of these. At least one of them is bound to put a smile on your face!
